Located within one hour of Manhattan, Allendale is a borough in Bergen County with a population of approximately 6,700 residents. Many in the area equate Allendale with a New England small town in both architecture and community sprit. Housing in Allendale is mostly single-family homes, though there are a few condominiums and investment properties located within the borough.

Located in the rolling hills of northeastern New Jersey, Allendale is a community that prides itself in natural beauty. 70-acre Crestwood Park is at the center of many community events. Within Crestwood Park is a 9-acre sandy bottom lake, beaches, baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, a pine grove, and acres of undisturbed woodlands.

Allendale is ideally situated in Bergen County, less than one hour from Manhattan. Commuters can ride New Jersey Transit from the Allendale station or drive to work via the Garden State Parkway and Route 17, both located nearby.

Many business and services are located along the Franklin Turnpike and Myrtle Avenue. Coffee houses, cafés, light retail and service stations can all be found here. Allendale is located in close proximity to route 17 with its many large shopping malls and big box retail outlets.

The Allendale School district has two schools, the Hillside School for students in kindergarten through third grade, and the Brookside School for students in fourth through eighth grades. High School students attend Northern Highlands Regional High School which includes students from neighboring Upper Saddle River, Hohokus, and Saddle River.
