Cresskill, New Jersey is located in the northern valley region of Bergen County. The borough is home to approximately 7,750 residents. Cresskill is located in close proximity to New York City, as well as Westchester and Rockland Counties in New York State. Commuters can choose to ride New Jersey Transit trains, take one of many local bus services, or drive via the many major roadways nearby. Cresskill is a predominantly a residential community and real estate consists of mostly single-family homes.

The borough of Cresskill is full of rich and interesting history. The borough was initially inhabited by the Lenni Lenape and Hackensacky tribes, and was followed by the Dutch, who set up a colony in the area as trappers and traders in 1643. Following World War II, Cresskill became home to many servicemen and women returning from duty.

Today, Cresskill is a quiet and tranquil community that prides itself in its excellent community services, great schools and rich history. Downtown Cresskill is home to shops, restaurants, coffee shops, banks, a public library and Borough Hall. The downtown area provides residents with daily needs, and Cresskill is located near major shopping centers in Paramus and in West Nyack, New York for more extensive shopping needs.

Cresskill Public Schools serve students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Cresskill High School serves all students in grades seven through twelve. With a progressive curriculum, Cresskill Public Schools are among the best in New Jersey.
