Fair Lawn is a borough in western Bergen County with an estimated population of approximately 31,400 people. There are a variety of housing options in Fair Lawn, ranging from single-family homes to condos. Duplexes and multi-family structures are generally located in the southern part of town near Route 4 (Broadway) and Route 208, while single-family homes can be found throughout the community.

Fair Lawn is located less than 20 miles from New York City, and near major interstate highways such as the Garden State Parkway and Interstate 80, which makes for easy commuting throughout the region. Residents also enjoy the area’s convenient public transportation system. New Jersey Transit trains are available from stations on Broadway and in the community of Radburn.

Within the Borough of Fair Lawn is the community of Radburn., which was one of the first planned communities in the United States. Radburn was founded in 1929 as a “town for the motor age” and many revolutionary planning ideas were first practiced here.
Today, approximately 3,100 people live in Radburn. Of Radburn’s 149 acres, there are 23 acres of parks. There are also four tennis courts, 3 playing fields, swimming pools, a community center, preschool, library, gymnasium and train station.

The Fair Lawn Public School system is comprised of nine schools in total, with all students in grades 9-12 attending Fair Lawn High School.
