With a population of just under 3,000 residents, Moonachie, New Jersey is a small town located in the Hackensack River watershed. Moonachie is in close proximity to New York City and numerous major roadways, and offers fast commute times to both Manhattan and points throughout Bergen County.

A small and quiet residential community in Bergen County, Moonachie offers its residents numerous parks and recreation activities, a strong school system and a variety of shopping and dining options both within the community and in surrounding towns in Bergen County.

Moonachie residents enjoy a handful of shops and restaurants, well-kept neighborhoods and parks, and a quiet, small town atmosphere. Residents also enjoy the many shopping, dining and recreational options offered throughout Bergen County, as well as the borough’s close proximity to the world-renowned cultural and entertainment activities in nearby New York City.

The Moonachie Public School District offers a strong educational system and has just one school for all elementary aged students. Families with students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade send their children to the Robert L. Craig School, which is located in Moonachie itself. High school students attend Wood-Ridge High School, which is located in the neighboring borough of Wood-Ridge and part of the Wood-Ridge School District.

With a large variety of homes for sale and a high quality of life, not to mention the town’s close proximity to New York City, it is not surprising that Moonachie real estate attracts buyers from around the state.
