With approximately 48,000 residents, Bloomfield is located about 18 miles from New York City and covers 5.3 square miles of northeastern New Jersey. Bloomfield offers its residents a variety of dining options, good public schools, numerous recreational activities and a fast and easy commute to New York City.

Bloomfield offers its residents an easy commute to just about anywhere in New
Jersey and New York. The historic Jersey Shore is about an hour’s drive from Bloomfield, as are a variety of parks, recreation areas and ski resorts. The Garden State Parkway, Route 46 and Route 3 are all situated in or near Bloomfield.

Bloomfield Ave and Broad Street is a charming downtown district that holds many of the town’s commercial stores, shops and restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy a variety of recreational activities in Bloomfield. Residents can spend the day at The Forest Hill Field Golf Course, or take a walk in one of the beautiful parks nearby. Brookdale Park offers 121.41 acres of plush rose gardens, a quarter-mile running track and tennis courts.

Bloomfield boasts a strong school public system. Students attend one of nine Elementary schools, and middle school students attend Bloomfield Middle School, which offers great after school programs, such as the Builder’s Club, as well as various volunteer programs. With just over 1800 students, Bloomfield High School houses students in grades nine through twelve.
