With a population of approximately 27,000 residents, Nutley is located just over twelve miles from New York City, and covers approximately 3.4 square miles of Essex County New Jersey. Nutley has a quaint small town atmosphere, and offers its residents a variety of entertainment options. Nutley is a family-focused community and prides itself on its beautiful outdoor parks and recreational activities.

Nutley offers convenient access to many major roadways, providing fast and easy commutes to New York City and beyond. Nutley is in close proximity to major highways such as 280, Routes 3 and 120, as well as the Garden State Parkway.
 
Nutley offers an assortment of entertainment and recreational activities for both children and adults. There are a large amount of youth recreational programs for toddlers to teenagers, such as tennis, basketball, as well as a music program called Fun with Music. For adults, Nutley offers activities such as yoga, softball and soccer. During summer months Nutley offers outdoor concerts and theatre programs, and residents enjoy the town’s numerous outdoor parks. 

Nutley has been home to several notable residents. TV personality and famed actor Martha Stewart and Robert Blake were both raised in Nutley. Annie Oakley and US Senator Frank Lautenberg also called Nutley home.
 
Nutley has an excellent public school system. The town boasts five elementary schools, including Lincoln, Spring Garden, Washington, Yantacaw and Radcliffe Elementary School. Middle school students attend Franklin Middle School and students in grades nine through twelve students attend Nutley High School.
