With a population of approximately 17,000 people, Asbury Park is a thriving oceanfront city in Monmouth County. With an area of 1.4 square miles, the city is boredered by Ocean Grove, Neptune, Ocean Township, Interlaken and Loch Arbour. Asbury Park offers numerous entertainment, dining and oceanfront activities, as well as a variety of real estate options.

Asbury Park has a history as a hub of entertainment and attractions in Monmouth County. Among its innovations, New Jersey’s first electric trolleys began operating here in 1887. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, the city experienced an economic downturn and lost much of its cultural vitality. Since then, the city has undergone much redevelopment and has returned as a diverse community with beautiful homes, and dozens of entertainment options, restaurants and shopping that attract visitors from near and far.

Asbury Park’s downtown is home to numerous restaurants, shops and art galleries. The waterfront and beachfront contains additional dining and shopping attractions, as well as waterfront condominiums, townhouses and other newly developed properties.

The city offers numerous events throughout the year. Annual events include the Monmouth County Friends of Clearwater Festival, the Guitarbecue Festival, Asbury Park Jazz Festival, Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgendered and Intersexed Pride Celebration and the Garden State Film Festival.
